Enterprise Project Management

Enterprise Project Management refers to a field of organizational development which supports integral management of organization and adaptation to changing environment. Of late, Enterprise Project Management has become specific. Earlier the focus was on the management of a single project. Later it was decided that the focus should be only on one project. Each project co-ordinates with all the other projects in the enterprise. It may also be part of some programmes. As a result the human resources that are shared by other projects are also utilized by the project. A set of Enterprise Management processes, methods, techniques etc are used to manage, monitor and determine the status of all projects. There are Enterprise Project Management packages available to make the monitoring and managing of various projects easy. The organization that works in Enterprise Project Management way has chances of establishing Project Management Office (PMO). Some popular project management methodologies are PRINCE2 , PMBoK etc
