Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) refers to the use of software and computer systems architectural principles for integrating a set of enterprise computer applications. EAI is the process of linking several applications like customer relationship management, supply chain management, business intelligence and collaboration environment and many others for realizing financial and operational advantages. Of late many modern companies provide access to important information to their workers. Many legacy applications that are still in use today were developed using arcane and proprietary technologies. As a result creating information silos from corner to corner in departmental lines within organizations. These systems failed to provide flawless movement of information from one application to the other. The aim of EAI is to control these problems and establish new formulas for much healthy organizations.
